Formed March 2016 via the merger of China Ocean Shipping (COSCON) and China Shipping Container Lines (CSCL), part of a January 2016 state-approved restructuring combining China Ocean Shipping Company (founded 1961) and China Shipping Group (founded 1997) into China COSCO Shipping Corporation.
